Ravello is a town of 2,506 inhabitants in the province of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast.
Located on a small plateau overlooking Maiori and Minori and enjoys a panoramic view of the Gulf of Salerno, who enchanted Richard Wagner. 
About half of its visitors are British and U.S., attracted by its famous villas (as Cimbrone Villa with its famous view from the Terrace of infinity, which is appreciated by U.S. President JF Kennedy).
The town has the reputation and international tourism along the nearby Maiori has been immortalized in several films of Roberto Rossellini's postwar.
In 1953 he was chosen as the location for the film Beat the Devil, directed by John Huston with Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre and Gina Lollobrigida.
