Positano is an Italian town of 3,981 inhabitants in the province of Salerno in the Campania region, which belongs geographically to the Amalfi Coast.
Thanks to the mild climate and beautiful scenery, Positano is a holiday resort since the days of the Roman Empire, as attested by the discovery of a villa and more recent discoveries, dating back to 2004. Typical of the many "steps" that come from the country down the beach. The main beaches are the beach and the Great Fornillo, both within walking distance, the others are La Porta, Arienzo and San Pietro Laureano, all accessible mainly by boat. Positano is also a means of public transport, the Metro del Mare.
